Guard PhotoThe U.S. Property and Fiscal Officer for Mississippi received and managed more funding than most of the larger states with greater troop strength. This funding included $8,419,076 received on 147 reimbursable military interdepartmental purchase requests. Effective use of the Program Budget Advisory Committee by program directors and diligent fiscal stewardship allowed the MSARNG to perform all statutory requirements and maintain a high level of readiness.

MSARNG’s Fiscal Accounting Section continued to account for all federal funds received to support Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center where nearly 30,000 troops mobilized in FY07. Also, the Financial Management Division provided face-to-face financial support to Soldiers before and after rotations.
