The DL Program plans, coordinates and conducts activities to implement DTMS in the ARNG, enabling units brigade and below to plan, resource and manage unit and individual training. We collaborate with the Army Program Manager to develop and implement Guard-specific functions and capabilities within DTMS. We also provide training and help desk support for ARNG DTMS users.
DTMS, an Army program of record, is a web-based planning and management tool that facilitates an organization’s ability to plan, schedule, resource, record and report individual and collective training in units, brigade and below.
How DTMS is used:
- Planning
- Submit, assess and track unit METLs
- Manage and maintain all Army tasks
- Scheduling
- Populate short- and long-range calendars with events
- Submit training schedules for approval and tracking
- Resourcing
Track and manage training resources (for example, training
aids)
- Recording
- Create unit IDT, AT and pre-mobilization training plans in
training calendar format
- Maintain training records for individuals and units
- Reporting
Produce reports about multiple types of training; individual
and collective
The DL Branch performs the following for DTMS in the ARNG:
- Implementing
- Collect requirements from ARNG users and units, then
coordinate with the PORTAC to validate and prioritize
requirements
- Provide validated ARNG requirements to the Army Program
Manager, DTMS for implementation
- Training
- Provide training for users in units
- Conduct master trainer courses
- Provide instructor-led online learning by VTC
- Supporting
Provide help desk staff
