The Distributed Learning Branch manages a Federal program that provides a network of ARNG DL Classrooms and funds execution of State DL Program activities.
ARNG DL Classrooms are located in Joint Force Headquarters, Regional Training Institutes, Armories and other facilities. Units use DLCs to conduct training that improves individual and unit readiness.
ARNG Soldiers performed more than 460,000 hours of Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) related training in DLCs during Fiscal Year 2010, with emphasis on the following requirements:
• Pre- and Post-Mobilization Training (PPMT)
• Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Training
• Functional Courses
• Professional Military Education
The DL Branch performs the following for DL Classrooms:
• Conducts strategic planning and coordinates operational execution of DL Classroom requirements and activities
• Provides administration and management oversight of the DL Cooperative Agreements (Appendix 40 to the Master Cooperative Agreement)
• Develops budget guidance and authorizes resources for State DL Program operations, maintenance, and IT infrastructure procurement
• Plans and directs lifecycle sustainment and technical refresh of the DL IT infrastructure
